Online debate: Is executive disarray inevitable?

Primaveras event

Those with the most education, those with the strongest CVs, are now claiming that their work has lost its meaning! How do we get out of this paradox?

Is studying no longer the promise of a fulfilling professional future? Could the executive status even be losing its appeal? In this unique webinar, Laurent Polet, author of an essay entitled "Le pouvoir, le bonheur, le climat : le désarroi des cadres" (Ed. Détour), will tackle these questions head-on, deciphering the visible and insidious drifts in the working conditions of executives. Now, even the most highly qualified are disoriented in their formerly clear-cut careers, and are claiming that their work has lost its meaning! The implications for our society as a whole go far beyond the fate of these 5 million employees, who are often wrongly regarded as privileged. But what if these alarming facts could be reversed?

To explore this diagnosis and its implications in greater depth, Fabien Trécourt, a journalist specializing in the popularization of the human and social sciences, will host a debate with essayist Laurent Polet.

Laurent Polet is professor of management at CentraleSupélec, founder of the Ecole Primaveras and of the first Campus pour le Sens au Travail.

Fabien Trécourt works for Sciences Humaines magazine, Le Monde and Le Journal du CNRS. Personal website: fabien-trecourt.com
