2025, the Year of the Snake: a symbol of transformation, adaptation and moulting. A perfect illustration of what our automotive industry is going through today - a profound metamorphosis, driven by uncertainties and tensions... but also by opportunities.

With our "The automobile of tomorrow" cycle, X-Auto continues to shed light on the major forces reshaping our sector. After exploring the role of two major forces: the geopolitical and technological prism, where China is inescapable, then the Software Defined Vehicle, catalyst of a product and organizational revolution, then the issues of sustainable development and artificial intelligence, we devote this autumn to a central subject: the prospects and challenges of electrification.

How can we make electric vehicles truly accessible, affordable and practical for everyone?
What concrete solutions can be found to remove the remaining obstacles (range, recharging, time, price, standardization, infrastructure)?
Is electric the only way forward, or do other alternatives (hybrid, PHEV, hydrogen, e-fuel...) still have a role to play in the race to decarbonize?
