Appointments - New president for UIMM Pays de la Loire

François-Xavier Marchais, a 1989 Aero engineering graduate, has been elected President of UIMM des Pays de la Loire, the Union des industries et des métiers de la métallurgie. President of UIMM Sarthe and Director of Operations at Eaton-Souriau, Champagné, he succeeds Alain Allaire, President of the employers' organization in Loire-Atlantique, who has held this position since May 2023. "A long-standing supporter of industry," says UIMM des Pays de la Loire, "François-Xavier Marchais intends to pursue the actions undertaken to promote the attractiveness of trades, industrial innovation, training and support for companies faced with the major challenges of transition, particularly ecological and digital."
