From lines of code to lines of conduct: AI reinvents the automobile

Club Auto - X-Auto Conference

Conference series: "The automobile of tomorrow, the convergence of so many expectations".

Debate-Conference no. 5: "From lines of code to lines of conduct: AI reinvents the car".

2025, the Year of the Snake: a symbol of transformation, adaptation and moulting. A perfect illustration of what our industry is going through - an in-depth metamorphosis, against a backdrop of uncertainties, opportunities... and tensions. We are continuing our series of conferences entitled "The automobile of tomorrow", with a clear ambition: to highlight the convergence of the issues that are reshaping our sector.

Last year, we focused on two major forces: the geopolitical and technological prism, where China is inescapable, and Software Defined Vehicle, the catalyst for a product and organizational revolution. These themes confirmed one thing: our sector is undergoing its biggest transformation ever, in an unstable, ultra-competitive environment, where we need to move fast, very fast - "Move Fast & Fail Fast" - while maintaining a strong team spirit, capable of embracing the whole ecosystem, even if it means pulling out our teeth when necessary. In January, we opened the year with a focus on our planet, the environmental transition and competitiveness.

Today, we're turning the spotlight on artificial intelligence. It's not just the kind we're putting on board our vehicles, but also the kind that's rethinking the way we design, develop and produce... and raising questions about the skills we'll need in the future. Artificial intelligence is establishing itself as a major lever for transformation in the automotive sector. From product development to the on-board experience, it is redefining processes, professions and skills.

This X-Auto debate/conference aims to explore, with leading players, the concrete applications of AI in the automotive industry and the associated human impacts. We will benefit from the views of :

  • Mikael Le Mouellic - X99 & Managing Director & Partner, Head of R&D Expertise Center, BCG - who will lead discussions around the strategic challenges of AI in the automotive industry, at the intersection of tech, industry and skills.
  • Luc Julia, Scientific Director, Renault Group & Artificial Intelligence, Ampere / SVP Software Republique - who will enlighten us on concrete use cases of AI in the car: embedded AI, as well as AI in product development & R&D.
  • Laura Hassan - Managing Director, Epitech - who will share her views on tomorrow's talents in the face of AI: from training to the concrete challenges of applied AI in order to prepare the future players in the intelligent vehicle, not forgetting how to create real bridges between industry and schools
